OUR WORK

What We Fight For

Stronger Protections

We advocate for policies that actually protect workers, not policies that look good in press releases. This means comprehensive anti-harassment policies for government employees, and closing loopholes that exempt those in power.

Clearer Paths to Justice

Experiencing harassment shouldn't mean navigating a labyrinth designed to protect perpetrators. We fight for transparent investigation processes, independent oversight.

Real Accountability

Power shouldn't shield anyone from consequences. We push for meaningful penalties, public transparency in investigations, and an end to retaliatory defamation lawsuits that intimidate survivors into silence.

OUR WORK

Our Legislative Victories

Since 2018, we've championed 8 laws that strengthen protections for New York workers:

Extended the statue of limitations for Division of Human Rights sexual harassment claims

Closed accountability loopholes for legislative and judicial employees

Strengthened protections against retaliation

Enhanced transparency in harassment investigations

Banned mandatory arbitration for harassment claims

Amended nondisclosure agreement requirements to be more survivor-centered

The Road Ahead: Current Priorities

  • We're working with ethics watchdog organizations to advocate for robust reforms that hold public officers truly accountable for harassment and discrimination.

    Dog Profile
  • Powerful figures are increasingly using defamation lawsuits to intimidate and bankrupt survivors who speak out. We're advocating for protections against these SLAPP tactics.

    Law
  • NDAs silence victims and allow serial perpetrators to continue their abuse. We're fighting to eliminate NDAs in harassment settlements.

  • The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has rolled back workplace safeguards against harassment. We're working to make sure New York workers don't lose the protections they deserve.
